A Wishing Well project
Reverse engineered by Keith Peterson
I built this wishing well to replace an old one which we purchased from a guy who made them in his garage and sold them along the road. It is a nice size and looks good, so when 30 years of weather had taken their toll, I reverse engineered it and rebuilt it using cedar.
My notes, and photos of the finished project, are shared here without cost, and with no promise as to suitability or accuracy for your use. These are just my engineering notes, and were enough for me to build the result you see.
Of course I had the old one to guide me, so I also share these pictures to hopefully guide you. I also included a couple of photos of the old bucket, which was originally held up with a rope. The rope would need to be replaced every few years, so I upgraded it to a couple of cedar arms. That works just fine.
I shared a YouTube video of the approach I used to build the base, you can find that video here.
Happy projecting!
