This was the first time for my husband and I to purchase an airplane, so we hired Keith to assist us. I can't imagine what this whole process would have been like without his guidance.
He made it very easy to understand the process, and explained via video call the spreadsheet he used to assess the value of each Cardinal we were interested in as it popped up. That was a great way to provide objective assessments of each possibility.
When we did find "the right one," he helped us set up a virtual pre-buy inspection with the flight school that owned the aircraft at the time and the mechanics.
This was a very thorough 270-point inspection. I don't think the fact that it was virtual instead of in-person was a hindrance. In fact, I think it made the process more convenient, since no one had to travel to Kansas.

Also, instead of trying to look over the mechanic's shoulder as he was looking at each item, we were able to get a "mechanic's-eye-view" through the video chat. There were a few times where we lost bandwidth and the video feed was lost, but it was recovered within a minute or two.
Although this was my first pre-buy inspection, so I have no frame of reference, I don't think any important pieces of information were lost in communication because the pre-buy was conducted over video chat vs in person.
After the pre-buy inspection, Keith provided us with a report with color photos or screenshots he had taken during the virtual pre-buy. This was very useful for my husband and I to reference as we were making our final decision about the Cardinal.
Once our minds were made up, Keith was there to answer any questions we had about the administration of purchasing the aircraft.
Throughout the searching/buying process as a whole, if there was anything Keith was unable to do himself, he was able to recommend someone in his network. For example, he's friends with a gentleman who ferries Cardinals to new owners and provides instruction to the new owners. This gentleman was able to deliver our Cardinal the day after we closed on it, and is returning this week to provide flight instruction.
When the airplane was delivered it was even better than we expected. We are very pleased and are looking forward to Cardinal ownership.
